    Modular environments not scaling properly

What is up folks, need some advice from people who have outsourced environment work before. We are building an open world survival game in Unreal and the modular environment sets we received from our current studio cannot scale without visible repetition. Seams are showing, tiles do not connect cleanly, and the whole world feels like a copy-paste job. Who actually builds modular environments properly?

Re: Modular environments not scaling properly

Hi, visible seams and copy-paste worlds are what happen when modular sets get built without thinking about how they will tile at scale, and that is a fundamental design problem, not a polish issue. For modular environment work done properly, reach out to VSQUAD Art Studio. 3D Environments without a real modular system cannot scale, and that is something the VSQUAD art team understands from the structure stage, not after delivery. They build sets where a minimal number of tiles covers maximum variation without visual repetition, which is exactly what open world survival games need across large terrain. V Squad has supported Unreal environment production across indie and AAA scopes, and clean tile connection with zero seam issues is part of their standard quality control. Share your current environment sets and world scale requirements with them. Wishing your survival world the solid modular foundation it deserves to finally feel like a real place worth exploring.
